The Sea Ceptor concept uses a missile capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 3 and it will have the ability to deal with multiple targets simultaneously, protecting an area of around 500 square miles over land or sea.
The Sea Ceptor will replace the Sea Wolf air defence system which is to go out of service in 2016.
Sea Wolf, which has been used by the Royal Navy since 1979, was originally built and designed by the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) which later became MBDA.I will keep you all updated as more info becomes available.

ReplyDeleteJust read a statistic in the harper index today that said with the same aumont of money put into the military that in the U.S could produce more then twice the aumont of jobs in education. I know how important the military is though it's just interesting.
ReplyDeleteI heard it was full of tea and old pork pies.
ReplyDeleteSure, lets pour more money into the defense budget so we can be as militarised as 'Murrika. That'll teach those terr'ists to not mess with our crumpets and tea.
